My rather eccentric MSN, which deserted me without warning, has graciously decided to return after a most taxing revamp of my internet explorer. Signing in and seeing the many angst-filled poetic little nicknames makes me feel like a voyeur, an uninvited overseer at something once familiar that now seems a little strange.
On a rather interesting note, the tree outside my house is flowering. It's quite a pretty sight, luxurious green generously dotted with off-white clumps. Nothing very out of the ordinary except that together with the occasional whiffs of mild fragrance is a very strong peppery scent, as though someone spilled massive amounts of pepper on the sidewalk. I think tangy would have been the right word to describe this rather unique smell.
Back to work tomorrow. At least it's no longer at the other end of the country and pays better too. Cheers for the exploited! Being in worklife makes school life feel as though it was an eternity away. I find myself forgetting how much time school takes, or how much of your life it takes over and the great amount of commitment needed. I'm now in the land of salaries, off-days, TGIF, after-work dinners, week-ends free only and holiday dreaming.
It takes a lot more effort to stay in touch or even maintain a relationship at its status quo. Firstly, you don't see each other around everyday anymore and moreover, we no longer share the same schedule. Two, meeting up takes a lot of prior planning. Three, we have different expectations and outlooks of life now. Fact fact fact is, people change and people move on. ( I think I have finally solved the great mystery of why guys going into NS tend to get dumped)
Anyway, I do hope that work goes fine and I get to meet up with weijie and jeslyn this week. Hopefully, I would also be able to go for at least one dance class in the coming two weeks. Kitty power!
