My mum and I went shopping on Sunday to stock up on things to make my dorm room more habitable. Amongst the frenzy of plates, cutlery, bowls and water containers, I have discovered that decorating a house (or room in this case) is much fun.
By the way, I adore shining silver cutlery and the most expensive set in Robinsons costs a cool $419. Not worth it in my opinion.
Anyway, my room shall be good enough to serve 2 or more. Visitors please bring your own forks and spoons :)
When I think of it, I can't wait to have my own house to decorate it the way I want. I shall paint my bedroom in a rose shade, complete with a set of dark wooden cupboard and bed. Then I shall throw 2 beanbags and a low table at one corner of the room to create a cozy atmosphere. A vase of summer flowers on the table would just be perfect!
Enough of gushing. I've already packed one box of necessities to bring to dorm, clothes are gonna take another box (or not). Plus shoes and bags and blah blah blah. Can't believe sch's starting next week. I could get used to being a tai tai :p
Baked a brownie today! It turned out UNLIKE the browcano (brownie volcano) that threatened to take the roof off my oven last week. Maybe the change of ovens did the trick. Or perhaps the switch from chopstick to toothpick for poking? I've never been good at physics, so pardon my utter ignorance of brownie steam pressure.
Fisherman's Wharf fish & chips turned out to be quite good! At a reasonable price too. Better than the rip-offs at Fish & Co and the likes of it. I felt the fish was well done in the sense that the batter was crunchy and the tartar sauce was so good (sour cream and onion flavour, I could taste it!)
Well then, I shall go back there again one of these days :)
